Coordination of Nursing Services
When prescribed by a physician
and allowed by state law we will assist in finding and coordinating
nursing services to hopefully alleviate some of the stress of an already
difficult time. |
|
Monitoring of Your Insurance
We monitor any and all restrictions that
may apply to the coverage of your prescriptions, alert you when
we see any possible obstacles and can help you navigate through
the ever-changing world of insurance. |
|
Client, Provider and Payor Education
In order to do make good decisions
and do the right thing, we must first know how things work. Without
understanding bleeding disorders how does your payor know what
is actually needed? Without knowing what products thin your blood,
how can you know to avoid them? Without understanding what your
bleed feels like, how can a provider judge how serious it is? This is where education comes in. |
|
Community Advocacy
By staying up to date on things like
legislation, research, product recalls, safety standards and even
trends within the bleeding disorders community, we can help keep
you up to date and together we can work to improve the conditions
for everybody. |
|
Collaboration with Your Prescriber and Payor
No matter if you go to an HTC or
a private doctor, or have multiple conditions and multiple doctors,
have a single type of coverage or multiple payors, we'll work
to help ensure a good flow of communication. Your payor(s) need
to understand your doctor(s)'s wishes and everyone needs to understand
what you want. |
|
Case Management
Our goal is to provide you the best
care possible. To do this we help monitor your needs and keep
a case history that can allow you to identify instances that impacted
your health. The more information you have, the better you can prepare for a better future. |
|
Resource Library
We have an extensive resource library
available to our customers. Our library has a wide variety of
information ranging from coping with pain, stress, loss, and depression
to educational materials on the history of bleeding disorders,
treatments, inhibitors, lines of research, financial assistance,
how to books, and more. We also have guides for school nurses, teachers, coaches and so on, many of which are written for people with bleeding disorders, by people with bleeding disorders. |
